Summer is just around the corner and temperatures are rising. We're going out into nature, enjoying the weather and sitting outside for longer in the evenings to make the most of the warm summer nights. In keeping with this, we have come up with a light decoration idea that will bring this mood to your table.

Materials required:

  • small gin bottles
  • water
  • Stick candles
  • Flowers of your choice (here chamomile and delphinium)
  • Florist's scissors
  • Match or toothpick

Instructions for a successful early summer table decoration

Some water is poured into two small gin bottles using a watering can.

Step 1: Fill bottles with water

Firstly, fill the glass halfway with water.

A hand trims several delphinium flowers using floral scissors.

Step 2: Cut the flowers

Then cut the flowers so that they fit into the glass.

A hand places a delphinium flower into a gin glass that was previously filled with some water.

Step 3: Place the flowers in the glass

Then carefully place the flowers in the glass so that their heads are still above the water.

Step 4: Arrange the flowers

To drape the flowers a little more, it is best to use a toothpick or a match.

A white candle is placed on a gin glass filled with some water, chamomile and delphinium flowers. Next to it stands another candle with a gin glass. This candle is in a mint shade.

Step 5: Add candles

Finally, twist the candles firmly onto the bottles.

That's it!

Of course, this decoration can be made with all your favourite flowers that are the right size. We hope you enjoy trying it out!
