Décor idea: hurricane lamp for summer table

Warm summer nights, a glass of wine and candlelight - with our decoration idea, we'll create a summery atmosphere in your home and transform your balcony into a cosy oasis.

Materials required:

  • large lantern
  • smaller glass cylinder
  • florist scissors
  • pillar candle
  • Decorative granules
  • matches
  • Flowers of your choice --> florist search

Instructions for the lantern

Decorative granules are poured into a hand. Below the hand is a lantern that already contains some granules.

Step 1: Fill the glass with decorative granules

First, take the decorative granules and carefully pour them into the glass. Caution! Please wash thoroughly beforehand if necessary.

Step 2: Insert the candle and fill the lantern with water

Place the glass cylinder with the candle in the large glass and fill it with water to just below the edge of the cylinder so that the flowers are well supplied with water later.

Step 3: Cut the flowers to size

Cut the flowers so that they fit comfortably in the space between the glass cylinder and the lantern.

Step 4: Arrange the flowers in the lantern

Now comes the creative part! Arrange the flowers in the glass the way you like best.

That's it!

Place the arrangement in a spot of your choice and enjoy the cosy atmosphere. We hope you enjoy your floral lantern!
